PRINCIPLES
The cyclocamp is self organized. There is a couple of small "orga-groups" providing necessary infrastructure but this should not lead to domination of these groups during the cyclocamp. All necessary work has to be done by everyone. Participation in all activities is voluntary. Tasks are coordinated at the info-point: to help you can offer your time&skills there.
The democratic culture of this self organized event should be based on respect towards one another. Costs
The cyclocamp is a non-profit festival. The profit made at the bar and kitchen will cover the costs of wood, toilet, gas, paper, electricity, etc. To avoid additional costs, it is necessary to separate waste because the costs for residual wastes is expensive.
Food
food not bombs/Vokü is cooking lunch and dinner for us. Is self-financed and all food & drinks are on donation, so please give an appropriate amount of money for it.
Organisational issues
eat&meet: short meetings (30min) at 12pm + 7pm (at dinner)
Agreements and decisions will be made in a consensual way.
everybody should attend, in case you can`t attend yourself, please be sure you`re getting informed.
Legal issues
All activities on the Cyclocamp are at one`s own risk.
Riding a Bicycle in Austria
In Austria you need 2 seperate working brakes and steady white light to the front and red to the back, orange reflectors on the pedals and white or orange ones on your wheels.
if you don`t have this, police might charge quite a fine (something like 20-30&euros per offence). We recommend working lights for the critical mass ride in Linz!
Helmets are not mandatory for adults. For children under 12 years a helmet is obligatory (fuck that!!!)
If there is a bikepath or -lane, you are not allowed to ride your bike on the road (except riding a road bike for training purposes)
At cross-walks (zebra-crossing) without traffic lights, pedestrians always have the right of way.
Alcohol&Substances
Driving a bicycle under the influence of alcohol is penalized from 0,8 per mill (1 l beer, 0,5l wine). It is recommended not to mix alcohol and the joy of riding a bike :-) Cycling drunk can cost up to a 1000 euros! Persons under the age of 16 are not allowed to drink any alcoholic beverages. Please keep it in mind.
